The musical came out last year! I haven't listened myself, but I've heard it had a much more positive response than the movies did. This is an unpopular opinion, but I think the movies are actually fine. As book movies they fail obviously (Not adapted enough to work on its own as a separate thing like How To Train Your Dragon, but also adapted too much to tell the same story like the Harry Potter movies did) but if you ignore the source material the 1st one is still a decent movie to watch when there's nothing else. I think sometimes the hate the fandom gives the movie has actually driven people away, I know one person who was turned off from the series completely because they liked the movie but their friend yelled at them for liking it.Galahad wrote:Did any of y'all like the movies?
Since I haven't posted in here yet, my favorite characters are Nico and Leo! I also love everyone from The Kane Chronicles, and Hearthstone from the Magnus Chase books. Apollo is great too! I really need to catch up with the series, I love all of Rick Riordan's books.
