Can 2 teams from the same school go to nationals if they get 1st and 2nd in state, or can only 1 team go

Only one team per school can go. I'm pretty sure all states that have 2 bids don't even let a second team from a single school compete at states.

Yeah, plus only a couple states get 2 bids....(when Texas looses one of its 2 bids, despite the fact that it's one of the largest states and has >3 major cities in it)

But yeah, Name is correct that only one team per school can go to nationals. Florida is a state with two bids that allows multiple teams per school to go to states, and it has in recent years (at least once, in 2015) had two teams from the same school place 1st and 2nd in overall team rankings. The 3rd place team got the second bid.

This was allowed early on: apparently H.B. duPont had 2 teams at 1986 and 1987 nationals.
