Re: Instruments?
I play violin, and at our school orchestra the violas and cellos combined didn't equal the number of violins we had.
I also quite piano last year after almost 5 years of playing, but I'm starting again. I'm happy that my fingers haven't forgotten my old pieces yet.
There were four other people on my SciOly team who played violin, and like 9 piano players. One cello player, no viola players, and a few band kids.
And I fail at the flute. Could not get a single sound of it at the band instrument tryouts. Or, I guess, any other band instrument (how the heck do you buzz?) besides percussion and saxophone (which is why I ended up in orchestra). Never tried piccolo before.

The violin is the reason I'm ambidextrous...

Re: Instruments?
Awesome. It's 'Stars and Stripes Forever' by John Philip Sousa (arr. Paul Yoder). Some of the tricky passages are really annoying. Then again, I haven't played it in a while. Good luck, it's an excellent piece.tuftedtitmouse12 wrote:I'll attempt it if I can get a copy of the music?

Re: Instruments?
No worries, it's a really hard solo. Here's a pretty good link (I think it's the Boston Pops): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SXwu0h_ulpwtuftedtitmouse12 wrote:meh
