Re: Disease Detectives B/C
lol no i mean diseases like influenza that might appear on tests. I don't know about other regions, but for NY some of the disease scenarios given resemble real life disease epidemics. something like that.doctor wrote:i'm pretty sure its going to be pretty much the same as last year since they didn't even change the topic which is population growth btw

Re: Disease Detectives B/C
well in PA they usually always have something about cholera and food poisoning and stuffhtmlfreak wrote:lol no i mean diseases like influenza that might appear on tests. but the disease scenarios are about very uncommon diseases so i dont think they're real

Re: Disease Detectives B/C
I believe it is "effect of population growth on public health outcomes," or something to that effect.denmarksoccer wrote: i think it's more something like 'factors affecting or affected by population growth'.
The rules state that event writers should use real data when possible. I can tell you that the NY regional events last year used real data, but I didn't see the State events. Personally, I would put money on influenza playing a major role in at least one of the events, probably both.htmlfreak wrote:lol no i mean diseases like influenza that might appear on tests. Re: Disease Detectives B/C
I did this event last year, and got second in the state... Is it just best to do sample scenarios if u know all the calculations, or should i keep studying? BTW, is this years still population growth?
