Re: Shock Value B
/Me calls starpug and asks for his sage advice.
I think they probably do, for reasons stated above. Included either way though, should be a "How to make a circuit" guide.

Re: Shock Value B
yes you may have to build a circuit during an competition but like most tests it truly depends on the proctor and amount of resources available as to what you will have to do

Re: Shock Value B
On most tests, there is at least one hands-on section; it's usually building a circuit, and there can also be magnetism labs as well (i.e., given a compass and a piece of string, figure out the poles of this magnet).jazzycarr0t wrote:hi guys. for shock value, do u have to build something in the event? like a circuit?

Re: Shock Value B
thnx guys. also, do we only need to know the diagram of a circuit and a dc circuit, important terms, and ohms law and kirchoff's law? i think that is all we need but i am not sure. i already finished studying the ohms law and kirchoffs law. i just wanna make sure that i am on the right track. thnx! u guys r a great help!

Re: Shock Value B
that is a good start you do need to know the laws that govern elctricity and magnetism
all about A/C and D/C current
How to use electrical meters (ohm meters amp meters etc)
how to create and draw circuits the parts of circuits (resistors campaciters) and the math behind each part (R1+R2+R3=R total, resistors in a series equation)
every thing on the rules

Re: Shock Value B
The test i just took at an invitational wasn't very in depth into any specific topic just a all covering testAvis_de-Incendia wrote:How heavily do they test you guys on magnetism topics? Just wondering.
I think some of the test will be very in depth with certain topics depending on who wrights the test.

Did they make you build a circuit? I missed the invitational.robotman09 wrote:The test i just took at an invitational wasn't very in depth into any specific topic just a all covering testAvis_de-Incendia wrote:How heavily do they test you guys on magnetism topics? Just wondering.
