You should typically take less than five minutes to think up an experiment. To save time, have some set experiments based on what materials you might have. Ramps, baking soda and vinegar, more ramps... Trust me, you can create a ramp with anything.

ironically, the ramps were part of our states setup. it took us about 10 minutes to decide on one thing, and then 5 minutes later we scrapped it and started over. im so shocked that we even got in the top 30.
