Re: Trajectory B/C
Oops, my bad. Just add 400 to any previous estimates I made. Great, this means the score I posted on the score tracker should actually read 227 instead of -173.

Re: Trajectory B/C
The graph points work out that you start with 400 points, and if you get full credit for your graphs, you lose those 400 points. It's not -400 from zero, it's -400 from 400. So a perfect score is -200 (start with 400 points, lose all 400 for graphs, 0 for hitting the pin on your first shot on both targets, -200 for landing in the bucket twice).AlphaTauri wrote:Nope, I'm talking about B. A perfect score would actually be -600 (0 points for hitting both targets dead center, -200 for both bucket shots staying in, and -400 graph points, with no penalties). At least that's how I interpreted the rules.

We must be the luckiest team in the world, because we had no data from 5 meters to 10 meters but we got a bulls eye and 20 or so centimeters off the second target... placing in the top ten...

Good gosh, luck was on your side. The "Danger" tag is more hazardous. See soinc.org, Use of Laserswas a "Danger" laser- actually less dangerous than the "Caution" ones

Oh, okay, I wasn't sure. Ours was a "danger" laser- actually, it was one of those cheap keychain ones intended to be used for playing with your pets or something- and they didn't give us any trouble about it, but then again they never asked to verify that it was a "caution" laser, so they probably just didn't notice.fleet130 wrote:The "Danger" tag is more hazardous. The second I switched on my laser they immediatly came over to make sure it was a caution one.Phenylethylamine wrote:Oh, okay, I wasn't sure. For us, we told them we were using one and the guy just asked if it was Danger or Caution, and that was the end of it.

Re: Trajectory B/C
Yeah, they never even asked us if we were using a laser, although ours was fairly prominent on the front of our device.haven chuck wrote:For us, we told them we were using one and the guy just asked if it was Danger or Caution, and that was the end of it.
