What do you have to do to get the lane bonus? Is it like electric vehicle where the the wheels cannot go outside of the middle of the tape?

The fixed point that you have along the perimeter of your vehicle that is within 1 cm of the running surface needs to stay within the 1.5 m track lane to get the bonus.
When it comes to the future, there are three kinds of people: those who let it happen, those who make it happen, and those who wonder what happened.

Friction

Is anybody doing anything about axle friction. Bushings, Bearings, ect? If so, what size ones are you using and did you make them or buy them?

I just cut out a small piece of a straw and put that between the wheel and the hinge thing. I thought I was going to have to use some sort of lubricant but it actually works pretty well.

Sorry for the double post but I have a question

Are we allowed to use a razor at all on the vehicle? I just want to use it so that it will cut the string when the rod reaches a certain angle.

I don't see why not.

They may be allowed but why would you need them?
it would be a pain to change you string after each run :|
and it could pose a risk if the rod hit them and caused them to shatter. it would be simpler to just have the string fall off with a pin and loop :|

im just going to tie the string together afterward.

Its a small razor that i'm going to glue onto the rod. It's one of those exacto knife razors. This is the only method I thought of and it's already built. I wish I had checked the wiki earlier, I would have liked to try the pin and the loop.
