Anyone has any guesses on what changes will come about?

they might change the bottle size, 2L bottles are more fun, and you can do more with them

Its worth it. Just put a name and phone number on the parachute and hope somebody calls you saying that you found it. And it doesn't necessarily mean higher rockets, you can launch a 1 L almost as high as a 2 L if you build it right.

Yeah, I've found that smaller bottles can often go just as high as larger ones. They're more aerodynamic - long and narrow - and considerably lighter. Although with the weight of an egg being fixed, it may lessen that effect a bit.

Really? But you have essentially twice the air power, since volume is twice. I got used to the height of 1 liter rockets last year. Then, as I watched the Div B prep for Nationals, where 2L Bottle Rockets was a fun event, I was awed when I saw how high the same design on the 2L went, in comparison.

Most parachutes get stuck on the trees.

Okay, I've seen well built 1L do better than poorly built 2L, thats what I meant to say. So yes, most 2L do go higher, which makes them more fun.

And I've had enough parachutes go over trees to find it worthwhile to put a name and phone number on them.

And the way times were this year its almost better to make it so we have longer times, it would make the event a little more interesting.
