I did this event last year, and we got something pretty good- like 3 seconds, I think. But the prediction was spot on, so we got first. Then States happened, and we got 35th because of the track polarity.

I think 70 grams- but it was 14 months ago. I could be mistaken.

Does anyone else hate this event? I really think they should just get rid of it.

i lov it, despite my bad luck at states this year. it is a viable replacement for battery buggy.

Near last, but that's not why I hate it. A reason we got near last is a reason I hate it though- it is terribly inconsistent. My team's car (I didn't actually work on this event- my partner did all the work) worked like a charm at Regionals, and then doesn't work at all at States. The track at States used weak magnetic strips that could not levitate the car enough and so our batteries got stuck to the magnets. Besides, there's not a whole lot you can learn that other events can't teach ten times better, and there's not really a practical application.
