Discussion for Astronomy C.
-The path of the Administrator is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

-Nothing\'s gonna get deleted. We\'re gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what\'s Fonzie like? Come on, what\'s Fonzie like?
-Cool?
-Correctamundo. And that\'s what we\'re gonna be. We\'re gonna be cool. Now, I\'m gonna count to three, and when I count three, you let go of your mouse, and back away from the keyboard. But when you do it, you do it cool. Ready? One... two... three.

Does anyone think the topic will change for next year? It's been variable stars for a really long time.

It better, I got stuck with variable stars for the three years I was on the team and I'm sick of them now.

Just checked SOINC and there isn't a subject listed so you'll just have to wait until the rules come out in September.

That's just lovely. :? Ummm... Didn't the rules last year say something about a star or DSO that would be on the list until 2011 or until the event rotates out (which it won't)?

My bet is it's staying because of
2009 rules wrote:*Epsilon Aurigae is part of a nationwide observing campaign for the International Year of Astronomy (2009) and will be 'included in the Astronomy Event for 2010 and 2011

Yeah but they could change the subject and still ask questions about it. I don't think it's happening though, now that you mention it.

Topic should be changing, guys. If it doesn't, be very, very suprised.
Old Events:
Astronomy, Remote Sensing (Both Mars and Global Warming), Dynamic Planet (Oceanography/Earthquakes and Volcanoes), It's About Time, Technical Problem Solving, and I really don't want to count, but did fail at-Fermi Questions.

We are all waiting eagerly for subjects come out, when that happens we'll decide weather to be surprised or not.

I think the topic might be changing to galaxies.
