Can someone help me with a website or something on the basic math used in Astro.
I did astro this year and my mind pretty much was blank on the math section, so I want to get better for next year.
I need help on things that usually pop up because I have no clue what to do actually, things like parallax and changing of units. I had the formula sheet from the wiki, and knew the variables but I had no application skills ):

Please and Thank you!

when do they usually put it up in previous years? After they publish the test packet on the soinc website?

They normally have it up pretty quickly, but they aren't using wright center anymore, so they don't know when they will put it up

Yeah I saw that too actually, though the name is a little misleading. Some red giants are bigger than this one, although this discovered star is incredibly massive.

What does astronomy involve? Im considering doing it this year seeing as its probably on top of the list of study events that everyone else on my team hates and doesn't want to, and if they are forced to do it, will miserable fail.

Astronomy involves a couple components next year
- General astronomy knowledge- What's a supernova, black hole, the distance ladder, the H-R diagram
--astronomy knowlege relating to galaxies
- DSO- the give you specific objects that you need to know everything about
- math- you need to be able to do math relating to astronomy (i.e. dopplershift)
