Yeah I saw that too actually, though the name is a little misleading. Some red giants are bigger than this one, although this discovered star is incredibly massive.Did anyone else read about the hypergiant star that was just discovered in the LMC?
I would start out with a basic textbook on astronomy. In terms of mathematical concepts, they would test stuff like the distance between two starts in a binary start system or the parallax of a star and other such things so yes, geometry does play a certain role, but not wholly important.Yes the rules come out in september...To start studying for this event, would you suggest getting a basic textbook or just researching stuff online.
Also, what kinds of mathematical/astronomy concepts will we need to understand....like would we be asked to find distances between 2 points (such as stars) based on another point? Would geometry play an important role?
