We definitely gave it our all at state. There were some disappointments in our placings all around, including a 26th in WIDI. For the first time in our history, we had a good day in engineering and a not so good day with our academics. We also had major shufflings on our team in terms of who was doing which event (Tech Trek and Physics Lab weren't decided until late Thursday night), as well as conflicts for some of the primary team members. Just goes to show you things are still unpredictable, and definitely a good reminder for us to be ready for anything.

All of that aside though, congratulations to everyone on a great tournament! It was tons of fun. Cywoods, Beckendorff, and Riverwood, we're looking forward to seeing y'all at nats!
man you guys still did really well though, managing to get 1st overall. very impressed. :D

Where did 7 Lakes end up? I haven't seen C division scores past 4th place.

I don't know how they did but I think they got one or two medals.

5th place was Katy
6th was TAMS w/ a score of 212 (I know someone there) - they got 6th solely on the merits of their study events - they didn't try at all on the build events.

Beyond that, I don't remember. I looked at the score sheet last night.

God we're so awesome.
*End Sarcasm*
We medaled in one event (Fossils, 3rd). And I think our next highest ranking is History of Science at 7th XD But ya, we lose people to electives and it stinks. I'm hoping in a year or two we can establish ourselves as a good enough team that people can learn to devote themselves to SciOly at SLHS.

and maybe our higher ups will learn to take scioly seriously. but hey at beckendorff we didn't even get a medal our first year. so it's some consolation.

The past two years at regionals they didn't even compete in the building events. State blesses them with the option to drop out of most of those events.

See...at 7L there's the super dedicated ones and then there's the not so dedicated ones that don't care.
I, myself...care. I'm super competetive & so not doing well at State is /:
But....I like our team. We have fun and try to do well too...

and no one from Beckendorff can come reform us; Mimi & Shelley will decide what's going to be done for next year.
