Rest in Peace, Mr. Smith. Thank you for giving me this amazing opportunity to participate in Science Olympiad. It has meant so much more to me than is easy to comprehend.
Agreed. You saved my life. RIP

the top three to five teams at states might only be decided by between a few points
Yeah, the competition's going to be really tough. Good luck to everyone! And we'll see how it goes... :?

States is going to be some tough competition... how many work sessions/meetings per week are people having?
For my team, after spring break, which is this week, we're going to have a full team meeting every week till states. As for just regular work sessions, we can stay after school any day, as long as there is a coach there. For many of us, we stay after school basically everyday to study or to take practice tests, unless we have other obligations.
Events for 2011:
Ornithology <3, Fossils, Ecology, Microbe Mission, Dynamic Planet

There are always reasons why events aren't scored (usually administrative) or there was a problem with the test

The event wasn't scratched after being run (as you described), but rather it was announced beforehand that it wouldn't be run.
