um i don't get where exactly how you get that answer but last time i checked a meter was just over 39 inches and that is 3 feet 3 inches in case you didn't know
39 inches ≠ 60 inches

and i was being sarcastic

Ok, so I was wrong. But not by much. You said 1 meter=3 feet 3 inches. 3 feet 3 inches(meter) does not = 1 feet

Catapult was the chosen challenge.

Does anyone know the winning team's score? We got ~690 for 4th.

We got 13th at Nats with a deviating catapult. We aimed for around 20 ft or whereever the tape ended. During practice our trigger snapped in half and our distance came close to the target but we got participation points. Our tiebreaker must have saved us or something because at State the same thing happened to our catapult but we only aimed for 7 ft. Did top 12 hit the plate

Also is there a clarification that said we had to hit the plate because at our practice competition, the proctor said if you can make it past the plate, you get the distance score but only once??

Wow, sorry your trigger broke.

I have no idea if the top 12 hit, but I know for sure the top 6 did. Maybe they only hit it once, though...

'Tis true. If you can get the Distance but miss the plate every single launch then you only get the distance score, not the bonus points.
