Our buggy has a similar design except with the front and back reversed. I don't know much about different wheels, but I think that those were mentioned earlier as being good, and as long as they don't wobble and have good traction, they should be fine.

We were thinking about doing what you did. What are the benefits? more sturdy?

I'm not sure if there is much of a difference, but it might make sure that the front doesn't get caught, since if the front wheels weren't spinning they could hypothetically get caught on something and create skidding. Just a thought. Also, make sure that whichever side has one wheel is lower and maybe weight it if needed to prevent jumping up when you stop. If your ca doesn't go that fast this won't be a problem.

Maybe either batteries or batterie case. Also check to make sure that your gears are meshing.

For the threaded axle spring, how long should it be? I don't know much about why it prevents skidding or anything. Just that it is almost a necessity.

The point of the spring is to slow the car down so it will have less momentum to skid. If your car doesn't skid it is unneeded. It should be long enough that it will slow the car down enough to prevent skidding but short enough to compress fully each time to keep consistency.

Is it allowed to have an obstacle outside of the track width?
