The bridge I thinned a piece of Maple* and just used a band-saw and than a jig-saw to shape it correctly. How'd you make the bridge and the curved sides? I'd imagine that those would be the hardest part of the instrument to make without breaking.
I used all Hardwoods like I think it was all Maple* or Cedar*what wood did u use?
does anyone know if the real rules will be like the draft?
wind instruments are kinda hard to make
Not really... I saw a flute my team made a few years ago and it was just a PVC pipe with a few holes drilled in it. We actually did pretty good that year, or so I hear.wind instruments are kinda hard to make
I would not recommend making a drum. You have to be able to change pitch (steel drum could work) so think along the lines of a xylophone.percussion should be easy. All you need is a tanned deer skin. Better grab my rifle.
The last time this event was on, we made our own bow with horsehair and we made our own rosin as well.doctor wrote: how did u make the bow?
and the draft said no store bought rosin is allowed so how did u make that too?
