Re: Sumo Bots C
Has anyone had an event supervisor request the three frequencies your sumo can use when you have a spread spectrum remote? If so, how'd you respond?

Re: Sumo Bots C
at our NorCal states, Mira Loma had a bot design verrrry similar to the one that has been talked about being used by LASA(i dont know who that is). mira loma's bot was a black box with a fan on top and it made a lot of noise. in the first round, it got wedged and the fan shot up in rpm's and went up in flames. when i went up against them the second time (battling for 3rd place) i was able to wedge them, but their little foil thing got caught on the ground, so i had to keep getting on and off the throttle and slooowwwllly inch them out of the ring. then the foil stuff got caught on the tape and... you get it. i finally was able to push them out and beat them. i got third and they got 4th. Watch out for them at Nationals. they will have dumped even more money into their bot, so have a good wedge ready.
woops, nevermind, i see nationals already happened... and i see mira loma didnt do well in sumo bots.

Re: Sumo Bots C
How does stacking fans even do anything? You still get the same cfm going through each fan, so it wouldn't seem like you would get a higher total air flow. If you wanted overkill you should have gone for these 120's http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6835706015 with 252 cfm.

Re: Sumo Bots C
This is somewhat unrelated to the topic, but does anyone know where I can purchase about 6 or 7 servos for cheap? I plan on working on a little project over the summer, I want good quality, standard sized servos, but I'm not sure where I can get them for as cheap as possible.....
