i have a question. it says this event is a demo event. How is that different from a trial event?

Demo events don't necessarily have to be done by a member of the team.

My ornithologist instincts tell me this is one event I need to see.

so are people building their own ornithopter or are they using kits? If so, which kits are good?

EDIT: i dont want to double post so i will use this post instead. We are having a serious problem with getting the ornithopter to flap properly. For example, it flaps fine when the paper for the wings is not there but then when the wing paper is added,it flaps really slowly.

Thicker rubber, maybe.
By the way, this event looks REALLY good.

Has it been confirmed that the 2010 rules are this year's rules too? I mean, they're on Soinc and they're the only rules we can find, but it'd be good if we could know for sure.
