specifically, the size, classification, shape, symptoms, treatment, and prevention?

cause: neurotoxins from Pfiesteria (dinoflagellate)
symptoms: amnesia, vision loss, and some other things I can't remember
treatment: Cholestyramine
prevention: avoid estuaries, especially when there are dinoflagellate algal blooms
I'm not sure what you mean by size, classification, and shape...

The main reason I know this is because of ocean bowl.

for size i mean the width/diameter of the microbe in um or nm
classification is what type of microbe
and shape is what the microbe looks like (sperical, w/ spikes, icosahedral etc)

I think you can get the size, classification, and shape yourself, since I already told you it's Pfiesteria.

I've done this event twice, and I can never seem to figure out by the term "environment" in the rules:
Differences (e.g., size, environment, structure, prokaryotic vs. eukaryotic, etc) among prions, viruses, bacteria, Archaea, fungi, and algal and animal like protists.
It's always caused me trouble on the test, too!
Are they asking for the kind of environment the microbe needs to survive?
Or the role the microbe plays in the environment?

I think it refers to the environment in which the microbes exist (or can survive). The fact that some archaea are extremophiles would be one of the classic examples.

For all those who took the PA states B division microbe test, did anyone have time issues with it? By the end of the test I had to rush to finish all the knowledge base questions, and my partner had difficulty finishing the microscope stuff.

Yeah, that was a long test. We got to all the sections because we split it up, but we left a few black and I was definitely rushing at the end. My partner did the microscopy stuff and the diseases, and I did most of the other questions. I think the best strategy was just to complete as much as possible.

Anyone experience really heavy competition for Microbe?

I got 1 question wrong out of a test of 60 something, and placed 6th o.O

I think the people above me probably milked the tie breaker more than I did.

That doesn't necessarily mean that there was really heavy competition. Ususally that means that the test was so easy that everyone did well and that a very small number of points could make a big difference in the placings.
