Wow, that's impressive. I suppose that having prior Nationals experience, like you have, would have helped us. I know I won't make the mistake of poor pacing again next year (if we make it to Nationals).

Considering the fact that topics usually stay at least 2 years and this year was Disease Detective's topic's first year as Food-borne disease, next year will be the same.
Although the topic for Disease Detectives usually doesn't make any difference as to what questions are asked.

Yeah, "Population Growth" was kind of a bad topic last year because nobody (at the local level, at least) knew what to write for that. There usually turns out to be one or more foodborne scenarios on every test, regardless of the supposed focus.

Does anyone have any good handouts to help out with the math portion? My partner and I usually do fine on it, but it's definitely are weak point.

Yep, that's the one I'm talking about. All of the calculations not included in there are easily found on Wikipedia. :D
