Wow, that's impressive. I suppose that having prior Nationals experience, like you have, would have helped us. I know I won't make the mistake of poor pacing again next year (if we make it to Nationals).Epidemiologist wrote:My partner wasn't prepared, but I still finished everything and managed to get 10th place.

Re: Disease Detectives B/C
Considering the fact that topics usually stay at least 2 years and this year was Disease Detective's topic's first year as Food-borne disease, next year will be the same.
Although the topic for Disease Detectives usually doesn't make any difference as to what questions are asked.

Re: Disease Detectives B/C
Yeah, "Population Growth" was kind of a bad topic last year because nobody (at the local level, at least) knew what to write for that. There usually turns out to be one or more foodborne scenarios on every test, regardless of the supposed focus. The Eviscerator wrote:Although the topic for Disease Detectives usually doesn't make any difference as to what questions are asked.

Yep, that's the one I'm talking about. All of the calculations not included in there are easily found on Wikipedia.Starapollo1 wrote:Lol thanks, I assume you mean Karen Lancours? If so, I've gone over those... lol
