Re: Science Crime Busters B
Would the test supervisor ever give rayon as a fiber to identify? It's not truly a synthetic or vegetable fiber, it's an artificial fiber, so how would you identify it?

If they did, I think you are safe calling it a synthetic:poparteeb2 wrote:Would the test supervisor ever give rayon as a fiber to identify? It's not truly a synthetic or vegetable fiber, it's an artificial fiber, so how would you identify it?

No matter what the experiment's result, there will always be someone eager to:(a) misinterpret it(b) fake it, or (c) believe it supports his own pet theory.

Well, I haven't had any soil stuff this year, but there's some on a lot of practice tests, and to me, it's pretty easy, since you only need to look at the tracks that made the mark and look for patterns in both the tracks and the soil.purplepeopleeater wrote:Has anyone had any soil ID/matching at all this year???

Re: Science Crime Busters B
On the Nationals test it asked for the name of a fiber that's named for it's appearance. The end of the fiber kind of looked like cheese wedges. Does anyone know what fiber it is?
