The 2011 scoring rubric can be downloaded here. If you have more specific questions after reading it, feel free to ask.

Got second today in ExpDesign, mainly due to omission of regression. Is there a way to calculate this without a graphing calculator?

I may be wrong, but I think that the STAT mode on a Ti30 works can give you that.

EDIT: You can make it by just graphing the points, drawing a best fit line and calculating the slope and y intercept of the line.

Yeah, it's been awhile since I've fiddled around with a TI-30X. And I had the slope/y-intercept, but I'm not sure what to do after that.

Is there really a way to prepare for this event? I am also new to this event and am trying to figure out how to prepare.

What my team is doing is doing random experiments while we use the rubric to see how we did.

Just make sure you have the rubric down and have everything well-planned out so you know what everyone is doing as you go in. It would help to have a few set experiments for certain materials, and you can hone those to perfection.

Are the majority of the experiments usually physics related?
