ok then, for question 9, would the correct answer be 4.8 X 10^6 meter/sec? I'm not quite sure if I solved it correctly.I do (since I wrote the test;), but I have a general policy of not providing answer keys to my tests. I think the learning experience is better if you have to work through the questions and feel confident in the answers, rather then just skimming them over. That said, I will answer questions about specific items on the test if there are ambiguities or confusion about them.does anyone have the answer key for the texas 2011 regionals test (from the test exchange)?
Yes it's doppler shift. Check out the wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doppler_effect) for more details.@Dr. Chalker
For your test (on Text Exchange), on Part 2: Physical Optics question 9, does it deal with the Doppler Shift? If so, does that mean the star is moving away from Earth? Also, how can you calculate the speed at which it is moving away?
Not in Colorado -- no templates.So... does anyone know? Does this mean that we can bring things that are not listed and are not directly forbidden?
