It was about 40mm from the target, if I remember correctly. This was slightly closer than what I had prepared for, so I overcompensated a little bit and ended up hitting 20mm off, with a time score somewhere around 8 or 9.

The test wasn't unusually difficult. The questions were either "free points," calculations, or tested the thoroughness of your binder.

I think I placed the front (laser side) edge of the barrier at the 5 cm mark.

That's a very astute and concise way of summarizing my approach to test making... I'm going to steal that for future reference;)

Thank you. :)

Are you going to upload the test to the wiki?

The rules mention "energy and momentum of photons," if I remember correctly. This can be approached on many different levels, with varying degrees of funny math. For Division C, how is this typically covered?

E = hf (h = planck's constant, f = frequency)
There are other formulas, but you can usually derive them with this.

I'm pretty sure you need to know that for B div also, because I had to use that equation in a B Div test I took.

Did anybody else hit the barrier in the Division C laser shoot? I was shocked when I saw that I hit the barrier... Right in the middle of it!!! :(

Lots of teams hit the barrier. 25 of the 60 teams recorded 'misses', which means they either hit the barrier or the side of a mirror or missed a mirror completely.
