I didn't know that complex ones, but my mom would ask which was apatosaurus, and I would point to it.

Can this PLEASE go to general chat and can the Fossils thread die a quiet death? Seriously. That does not deserve to be counted as a useful post.

It's not hurting anyone. The event's over for the next three years, so discussion strictly on the Fossils event is over. The only thing it's "hurting" is that people are getting higher post counts, and that's just a petty thing to complain about.
2009 events:
Fossils: 1st @ reg. 3rd @ states (stupid dinosaurs...) 5th @ nats.
Dynamic: 1st @ reg. 19thish @ states, 18th @ nats
Herpetology (NOT the study of herpes): NA
Enviro Chem: 39th @ states =(
Cell Bio: 9th @ reg. 18th @ nats
Remote: 6th @ states 3rd @ Nats
Ecology: 5th @ Nats

What's also "hurting" is wasting our time. But still, the 10,000 post thread is still around.

But if you're going back to look at the thread in 3 years' time, you're not really going to want to read meaningless small talk... it's just sifting through pointless posts at this point. No offense to anyone here, but I propose that we let this thread die quietly and take all non-Fossils discussions elsewhere.
