One explanation for this increasing extravagancy in suture pattern is that it leads to a higher strength of the shell, but also just competition over time led to one surviving over the other, and those with similar patterns survived (gogo ecology).paleonaps wrote:HELP what was the geologic time range of Cypraea?!?!

I'm referring to the Ammonites. Cypraea do not have disginguishable suture lines.

What did everyone think of the nationals test? I thought the samples were pretty fantastic, but what was that massive bone? We guessed that it was a tibia... we didn't really know.
