The top is mosasaur, the bottom plesiosaur.

I agree in that I think mosasaurus has a broader paddle than plesiosaur. Also, I'm relatively certain that mosasaur has one more digit on it's longest 'finger' than plesiosaur.
It would really suck were a test be written cruelly enough that they would ask this, so I think that the best thing you can do is hope for good pictures and good luck. x3

I don't know if it is just the pictures, but the wrist bone structure of the pleiosaur looks more fused, as well as stouter and shorter. But that could just be the specimen.

I agree, the plesiosaur's paddle is more fused together. I don't know if this helps, but plesiosaurs moved their paddles in a circulars motion, while mosasaurs moved like eels- plesiosaur paddles remind me of paddles for canoes (helps them go faster). Mosasaurs have more spread out paddles because they moved with their whole body (serpentine).
That's how I tell them apart...

I call shenanigans.
im guessing that someone mistook one for the other.

Ehh, R&M is pretty awesome too, though ive never done it, i've looked at past tests and other people's thoughts, and it's a worthy replacement for fossils.
