Re: Meteorology B
No, but I live in Kansas. Prime severe storm location. If you knew you were going to be doing this event in the spring, I hope you were paying attention .

None yet. The wiki is looking good, n' the topic looks less broad than everyday weather, which makes me happy.robotman09 wrote: Yep
Any specific questions?
We studied our butts off for clouds, but not one question appeared on the test.

When I find the time I will write a test. So most likely not for a few weeks.EpicFailOlympian wrote:Hey can you make a test for us robotman?robotman09 wrote:YepFueL wrote:Has anyone here done this topic before?

Re: Meteorology B
yep i did meteorology for regionals and states in 2010. regionals, 6th place--> never actually studied. started studying for states, got 3rd for meteorology. we spent most of our time making arrows on this weather map (we had to indicate wind patterns or sumthing)... weren't even sure if we were doing it right but we got a lot of it right... the pictures were the easiest part. we got 3rd place; turns out the other teams didn't know much either+i had studied a bit of meteorology in 5th grade so i was not *that* bad... did better than at my other event (disease detectives for which i studied 75+ hours)
everyday weather wasn't that hard.... a good resource was the wall street journal's daily weather report.
not doing meteoroolgy this year, but had a positive experience in my first year at scioly... (and my school's) 2 state medals and 6th place in 3rd events
in all, a fun event....

Re: Meteorology B
Speaking of severe storms, did anyone catch that twister in NYC earlier today? It's still listed as a possible tornado, and hasn't been made official.
EDIT: its official! 2 seperate tornadoes in New York City, with winds as high as 125 mph. I now pose a question to all of you. Do you think Damage estimates can remain unbiased if a tornado strikes the downtown core of a city? Do you think it would be exagerated?
