It would be too bad if they eliminated Meteorolgy as an event. I think it's deverse from other events.

As far as I know the rotational events (Anatomy, meteorology, JYC, etc) that change topics every year stay in longer than the non-rotational ones (CJAP, SCB, etc) so I would be sorta surprised if met went away all together. I have a feeling it's just going to change to Climate.

Anyone think that the Nationals Meteorology test this year was way too easy?

In my opinion the test wasn't difficult but wasn't easy either. It was long. Also I thought a bunch of it had relaying back information (eg. Writing down where the tornado warning was in effect for etc..). The winning team must of been precise and wrote down the right words.

What was the test like? And... CONGRATS ON 2ND :D ! I freaked out during the live feed yesterday, haha.
ornithology, forestry, entomology, triple E, green generation, water quality, dynamic planet (lakes & rivers), awesome aquifers, meteorology, robot arm, write it do it. :)

It was mostly simple Meteorology questions. There was a lot of graph interpreting and counting. There was some math, like finding the area of a tornado track. We had to label air masses, as well as do some true and false questions, like, "Can hurricanes form on the equator?"
And thank you! :D

Ya good job! I have a feeling we might of messed up on the math. We split the test and I did the true/false (Which was so easy.), I think that the math put us out though :(

Thank you! :D Did you have a calculator? That would've helped especially. And did you do the bonus part?

Rememember the Meterology test at the NY State competition ? True or False: "Can a tornado spawn a hurricane?" It'd be awesome if that could happen...

Starshine, would you say the test was easier or harder than the NY test? Or about the same?

If a tornado could spawn a hurricane? That'd be cool.
But the NY State event was so much harder in my opinion.
And FueL, I like how we address each other by our usernames and not our real names XD

Ya we brought in a calculator, we knew how to find the area for some of the questions, but my mind went blank when we got to the "Finding the area of a perfect circular tornado using Pi formula."
Bonus Part??? I don't remember seeing that.. What type of questions were on it?
What would a tornado spawning a hurricane even look like :geek:
