Road Scholar is annoyingly competitive.
I only got two questions wrong (a little off with my latitude and longitude) and placed 4th.

That sounds like a test that was too easy.

No, just a too competitive group. I was there too, I placed 2nd...I don't know why. I could've sworn we got everything right.

Road Scholar was amazingly simple. However, it was also amazing how many people couldn't read a map.
For example, my team placed 2nd in Road Scholar. While doing so, we lost our reference materials, our protractor, ruler, USGS map symbol sheet, started late, and skipped half of the test because my partner arrived fifteen minutes into the competition. Isn't that ridiculous? I mean, it was reading a Colorado/Wyoming AAA map. How hard was it? You had the map with you before you took the test.
It's an amazingly easy subject, yet many people take maps too easily and underestimate. I know there definitely will be much more of a challenge at States.

Hey, I'm from Pasteur, 1st place NYC Regionals. I look forward to seeing all of you there! (and, if you're from Razi, we shall defeat you.)

Did the judge tell you the map beforehand? Because you shouldn't have it beforehand unless it's just your own state map. And don't count on it being so easy all the time. I medaled many times simply because we were less wrong than the other teams. We've gotten first on a score of less than 33%.

It says on therules shhetwe can bring in notes. By notes, is there a limit on how many we can bring, do they have to be handwritten, etc?
