Can I buy yours?

Paleonaps, I've noticed that you've been spamming the event threads recently. It's somewhat annoying and it makes your post count really big. Could you please stop? Can I buy yours?
This might have been better suited for a PM, but sure. I attribute it to boredom, considering I have been home sick for all of today and yesterday, and have spent all day logged in.Paleonaps, I've noticed that you've been spamming the event threads recently. Just a friendly request.
Does anyone else see any good methods of building one? I've been prowling the internet for these, and I can't find anything better than this. It's a shame - with everyone doing the same thing, it'll be down to miniscule measurements to determine winners. Maybe there could be a pre-build of a device to measure pH or turbidity, or maybe DO or nutrient levels?...
INSTRUCTIONS (a la quizbowl)
1) Take a straw.
2) Put modeling clay on the end of the straw, sealing one end completely.
3) Put the straw clayside down in distilled water.
4) Make a mark on the straw of where the water level is.
5) Repeat steps, but with different salt concentrations.
Basically, its the generic version, and almost all competitors will be doing that. I looked into using lead shots as a weight, but it doesn't seem so feasible. I wish there was another way to build it - and I'm sure that a team will figure it out next year.
Annual growth : G = nr, (just add G + n to get the new population)Make seperate forum for this or wait until next year. We have to focus on ecology. How do you calculate population growth (annual, doubling time, etc...)
It's a pretty minor part of the event, it's not like it's really a building event. It doesn't really matter that people will be building similar ones. Its not that difficult - we built a crude one in chemistry last year. The only downside is that everyone will be basically building the same exact one..But I don't wanna build a salinometer...
