still confused...does JV scores affect V scores, and chance of going to state, or not?

No, only the varsity score affects the varsity team's chance of going to state. JV score does not affect V score, and chance of going to state.

It happened once in my Regional that a JV team beat the Varsity team of the same school...
2011 Season Events~

Fossils (Regionals ~1st) (State ~6th)
Towers (Regionals ~1st) (State ~3rd)
Helicopter (Regionals -3rd gahhh) (State ~5th)
Wind Power (Regionals ~1st) (State ~3rd TIERED!)

Hooray for getting everything i wanted?

I'd like to recommend our way of practicing.
We have everyone study, but mainly focus on three events for those doing the event to get a lot of practice. We change focus events each practice. It has proved successful.

hmmm....care to explain a bit more?
it sounds pretty interesting...but isn't it sorta hard because you change your events each time? so you don't get a lot of time to learn each event? and if everyone is switching, isn't that confusing?

You keep your own events; just different people get more attention each time. Everyone gets their events as focus events.
