And yeah, most (if not all) of the eighth graders work super hard, so South will probably do well next year too.
We have one sixth grader for Helicopters.

I meant on the actual competition team, not as an alternate, but that's true.

Wasn't it 1:40?
Wait, there are-- yes, three seventh graders, if you are counting alternates as well.

CMS's ratio is the same?

It's not a ratio, it's the amount of time (e.g. minutes:seconds). CMS beat us in helicopters by 12 seconds, it might have been 1:40, not too sure. I think it was something in the forties though.

Two days late, but... what a competition that was.

It's interesting how some things turned out (or in some cases, didn't turn out...)

The Complete Tounament Results are out.

Congrats to all participating teams and also to Community MS and WWP S for the State titles yet again. Also congrats to Grover and WWP N as second place teams.

Good luck to both (or all, if two teams go) at Nationals.

Just a random observation...
Most of the competitors for Helicopter in Div B were using some form of the Freedom Flight kit. The ones that weren't were not very well built and did not fly for very long. It seems that the competition was more based on build quality and who got more winds on their rubber than the actual design.
I win.

Sorry this is a late reply, but that is very true. Flight events have been normally like that with kits, but for helicopters you have more of a design flexibility, if you will, compared to wright stuff. I believe the top 6 teams for wright stuff all used the freedomflight kit, and it came down to mostly build quality and trimming. However as the WWPHSS team has shown, there's a lot more flexibility with design and that makes it all the more fun.
