Wright Stuff Scholarship

Post by GitItWright »

Big News! The Academy of Model Aeronautics Education Committee http://www.modelaircraft.org/education.aspx
will be offering a one-time scholarship at this year's Science Olympiad Nationals to the two team members (one team) who achieve the high-time flight (or win the Gold Medal). A Press Release will be forth coming in the near future. The amount awarded will be $2,500.00 per student for the two person team that wins this event. The award will be directed to the college or university that each student attends.

The award will honor the many years that Wright Stuff has been of the most competitive events with strong spectator appeal. It is also to honor the event as it leaves Science Olympiad at the apex of its popularity being flown, this year, at one of the best flying sites in the United States.

This scholarship will be directed to the college or University that each student choses to attend.

More information is forth coming.....

GOOD LUCK!

Undoubtedly an excellent opportunity for some young free-fliers!

Unfortunately I'm not going to Nats, so I won't be one of them.

Don't despair entirely, AMA has other scholarships for participation in model aeronautics that you can work towards while having LOADS of fun. Many recent winners of these scholarships got started in SO, WS. See http://www.modelaircraft.org/education/ ... ships.aspx
