Re: Elevated Bridge B/C
Seconded. I don't know if I mentioned, but as you'll see, we put up a full gallery, both of the '09 and '10 seasons. Hopefully more people will do the same! I'd still love to see Troy's bridge especially (Boomtech?), as well as a closer shot of the 2nd place bridge from Kansas (though I at least got to see that one in person). Also, I figured I'd volunteer it - did anyone have questions or thoughts on the gallery we posted?

Re: Elevated Bridge B/C
While we're on the topic of that bridge, I just want to say how completely awesome it is. Reading this thread, everyone gets so complicated with everything and I get uber confused (not that I did this event....). It's so completely simple and against the grain

Re: Elevated Bridge B/C
that bridge looks complicated yet at the same time simple, good job who ever thought of that design

Re: Elevated Bridge B/C
Hey guys im going to my local hobby store soon, and they have Great Planes Pro CA adhesives...i was just wondering if "gap filler" is a bad because i just want a 10-15 second set CA based glue and then a 1-3 second set, but the 10-15 second set-time they have says gap filler....am i just being stupid?

Re: Elevated Bridge B/C
The kind I use says gap filler. It doesn't seem to have a negative effect, although I haven't tested it. With proper building techniques, my joints never break. I think gap filling actually just refers to the viscosity, not a chemical in the glue. Don't take it to mean that you can get away with having gaps between your members, but it should be fine.lllazar wrote:Hey guys im going to my local hobby store soon, and they have Great Planes Pro CA adhesives...i was just wondering if "gap filler" is a bad because i just want a 10-15 second set CA based glue and then a 1-3 second set, but the 10-15 second set-time they have says gap filler....am i just being stupid?
