Dynamic Planet B/C

-The path of the Administrator is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

-Nothing\'s gonna get deleted. We\'re gonna be like three little Fonzies here. And what\'s Fonzie like? Come on, what\'s Fonzie like?
-Cool?
-Correctamundo. And that\'s what we\'re gonna be. We\'re gonna be cool. Now, I\'m gonna count to three, and when I count three, you let go of your mouse, and back away from the keyboard. But when you do it, you do it cool. Ready? One... two... three.

From my rules from way back when Rivers and Lakes was an event, it might include (but won't be limited to):

Hydrological cycle
Aging of rivers (young, mature, old)
Depositional features including floodplains, levees, deltas, and meanders
Erosional features including rapids, waterfalls, canyons
Topographic map interpretation as related to river features and actions
River velocity including gradient, channel shape, and channel surface
Stream channel patterns including meandering, straight, and braided
Drainage patterns including dendritic, radial, and centripetal
Steam capacity including dissolved load, suspended load, and bedload
Stream classification including perennial and intermittent

Also, props to IdahoSciGuy who came up with this list since this year, the topic is the Earth's Fresh Water and RIvers and Lakes are only a small portion of that:

Surface water:
Rivers and Streams
-drainage patterns
-the water cycle
-river and stream ageing/evolution
-fresh water deposition fetures(point bars, oxbow lakes, etc...)
-fresh water erosional features
-identifying ancient river velocity by photography(looking at a photo of an ancient river bed, and being able to give basic descriptions of river velocity. I will post an example on the wiki later.)
-topograhic map identification, drop rate
-base level features
-deltas and estuaries
-river behavior versus elevation(how a river acts at its source compared to its mouth)
-historic floods/droughts and analysis
Groundwater
-aquifer contamination
-groundwater depletion and calculation
-groundwater flow
-permeability factors
-porosity factors
-saltwater intrusion

Indeed, and the first test *should* be up by the end of the month. Keep a look out for it on the test exchange!

I don't think it had a binder last year... I think it's a set number of sheets.

Wasn't last year just a cheat sheet? One 8.5 x 11 sheet front and back? I think that's enough for this event.

Yeah, that's what I remember it as. But this seems like a slightly broader topic than quakes and volcanoes.

yeah, this topic is bigger than last years, but a cheat sheet should be enough. The only time a binder was allowed was in glaciers, i think.

A binder was also allowed for the first year of oceanography, but not the second.
