Since I finished Mockingjay ten minutes ago, let's have a place to discuss the books instead of YDRC.

I just finished reading Catching Fire and I freaked out at the ending! I totally need to read Mockingjay now, too.

I know!!! I just finished it last night (well morning) at 2 am because i couldn't put it down!
My friend is letting my borrow mocking Jay, but she says that i will be disappointed. unfortunately i can't start it till my piles of home work are done.
No matter what the experiment's result, there will always be someone eager to:(a) misinterpret it(b) fake it, or (c) believe it supports his own pet theory.

Mockingjay was a little disappointing, but I think they are all excellent.

Katniss went from a respectable, confused heroine to a surly, cruel one.

Mockingjay was just...depressing. SOOOOOO well written, but depressing nonetheless. More things should be going right in a finale of a series for teens.

Things going right in a finale of a series for teens?

Have you read the Pendragon series? Or Percy Jackson and the Olympians? Or even Harry Potter? Each series gets progressively darker until the last book, where there tends to be mass fighting, heavy casualties on both sides, and other horrible things that don't go right. Though they do have happy endings.

To be fair though, I haven't read the Hunger Games yet, so I might be misunderstanding you.
