We had tryouts on Thursday and this coming Thursday they're going to announce the people that made it. So until then, everything is kind of on hold.
My team has just decided officers and that we are attending Cy falls. Still need to decide event placements and get more people :?

We have had our team since May, and have been practicing as a team since the end of June. as far as our status goes, we have claimed events, but that really depends on the competition schedule, and I think we are attending every invitational. :)
And like 7L we have 2 teams, and our state team is selected according to a set rubric after regionals

No matter what the experiment's result, there will always be someone eager to:(a) misinterpret it(b) fake it, or (c) believe it supports his own pet theory.

We actually have 2 teams. We set them at the beginning of the year and depending on how they do at invitiationals and regionals, we select the state team.

Aren't you only allowed one team at regionals?

Nope, two at regionals, one at state.

In Texas (the past few years) you are allowed to take more than one team, its just state and Nats that allow 1 for us. BUT, for example last year Beckendorff took 2 teams and we placed 1st and 2nd, we still can only take one team to state, and then (since i think 3 teams advanced idk) the 4th place team was able to attend state as well. --- confusing?

Yeah, no. Its only the top two teams, and you didn't get both 1st and 2nd because we got 3rd but weren't able to go to Nats.

I believe she was talking about regionals where at least three to four go on to state.
