How well is Regionals run?
i know in TX the regionals aren't usually run very well, they usually only have 10-15 events, are always disorganized, and events usually start about 20 minutes late. how are the regionals run where you live?

Re: How well is Regionals run?
Our Regionals are generally extremely well run, but that's because Indiana is a little bit obsessed with SO. I'm sure the same goes for OH, TX, GA, and PA.

Re: How well is Regionals run?
colorado has two regions so if they weren't well run that that would just be sad...
they're genally very well ran just because there are two people that run state and then one of them take one region the test are almost always the same but there are alot of teams tho 30+ per region

Re: How well is Regionals run?
Our regionals is run quite well. Now that there isn't a mad rush to get that time-slot for your events its even better. One thing I noticed this past year was the event sups were reading the rules when they were getting setup, I was really hoping this wasn't the first time they were reading them, but I wasn't quite sure. No issues arose though, so if they did read them for the first time, they read well

Ah yes the Mad Rush http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKrYAm6BZek. Our regionals are very well run except for the occasional bad proctor.

Re: How well is Regionals run?
yeah, that's nothin compared to what happend at CSUS for our regionals that same year. the condition of the poster boards was horrible when they were 'up for display' during the events showing when the teams go. lol, they had them leaned against the wall and not one person (including me ) stopped or slowed down to avoid hitting the wall or bending the poster boards.
