So on an invitationals test, there was a picture of a crinoid, and it asked for the nickname. I put Sea Lily and they marked it wrong  I guess this means it should be Feather stars, but why isn't Sea Lily it's nickname?

I have both Sea Lilies and Feather Stars as nicknames, and so does Wikipedia. You should have been marked correctly, in my opinion.

I would suggest reading through the whole thread, as there is lots of advice that may help. Another suggestion is asking specific questions, as this will get you help on specifics.

Ok
1. I know we get to take in a 1 page cheat sheet with us. Is there a specific font size if we type it?
2. how many ?s will they ask us?
3. also what IS the Fossil Starter Kit, because our teacher doesn't know either?

Uh, you don't get to take a one-page cheat sheet with you, you get to take a whole binder (of theoretically infinite thickness).

And the number of questions they will ask you depends heavily on the test.

I've seen some tests that are all multiple choice, some short answer, some easy, some hard. It varies greatly.

The fossils starter kit is a set of fossils that you can buy to practice identification. You can often find fossil specimens individually, especially at gem and mineral shows, or you can use pictures from the internet.

1. Actually, you're allowed a full binder! You can put as much information in it as you need (which can be a lot - we filled a 3 inch binder completely with info) and its also beneficial to tab that mess of facts.
2. Depends - I'm not sure if you are aware, but it is a station test. Usually youre given 2 minutes, give or take some time, to answer from 4-7 questions. Most tests are at least 20 stations, and i've seen one at 28 at the most.
3. Its just some specimens that are listed. Honestly, its unimportant - just looking through Google Images is usually a good enough way to practice.

Sorry for the double post, but I have conflicting time periods for copal. One site said at max it can be 10000 years old, another said 700, another said 1.3 million. What do you guys have?
