i find tabbing helpful for speed...
but i also write in the page numbers on my national list.
No matter what the experiment's result, there will always be someone eager to:(a) misinterpret it(b) fake it, or (c) believe it supports his own pet theory.

I color code tabs, write page numbers, and use symbols.

Wow, I guess tabbing does help.
Am I the only person who doesn't write on their bird list? I use my note pages for everything - clutches, descriptions, habitat, etc. Obviously some of these can be studied, but I'm just not one for cluttering the list. :P

Do you guys write information in your field guides?
me and my partner write specific information in the guide and use the note sheet for general info and diagrams, etc.
i was just wondering because i have been reading these strategies and it doesn't seem like you guys write in the guide

I only wrote in the guide once, because the Wilson's Snipe was listed as the Common Snipe and I wasn't aware that they were the same thing. So I wrote in all of the information about it I could find.

I just heard this bird outside my window (it's about eleven at night where I am) and I know it's not a Great Horned Owl and it may not be a bird on the list whose call we have to know, but I'm wondering if anyone knows it. It's like 3 almost hooting sounds but they're separate, distinct from one another. I don't really like that description since it kinda makes it still sound like a Great Horned Owl, but trust me it wasn't. I don't know how else to describe it though

^ Interested to know which symbols, as well. I now color code to mark conservation status. Really easy and fast, if I must say.

How are you guys studying? I know that's a stupid question to ask, but I just spent two hours on Quizlet today. Whooo, was that fun.
