Is there anybody who is still working on the bridge/cantilever/tower? My regional is not for 2 more weeks. I placed 12th at invitationals because I did not have a "free standing" cup. this appartently does not just mean that the cup can't be taped down, it can't be leaning against anything either. otherwise, I would have placed second

You should be able to tape a cup down. Then have a second cup that you place inside the taped down cup.

No it has to be freestanding it can't be taped or touching anything except for the bottom. See this clarification

No. The structure may not have an edge, wall, or other surface that could help keep the cup from falling off or tipping over. According to rule 4.b. the cup must be free-standing on the structure. Throughout the testing, if the cup leans against anything other than the flat surface of the structure, then it will be supported by what it is leaning against and not be free-standing.

The bottom surface, I think, can be anything except for the tape, because you can't tape it down. But it can probably be supported by the other cups, bowls, plates, etc.

I have a question that I need to be answered ASAP, are tape dispensers allowed? This is like packing tape dispensers, office dispensers, ect.
