Me entire swap meet bag tore open as we walked back to the dorms. I rescued my two license plates.

I got a Kentucky and Hawaii one last year! I was so happy, then I got home, threw them in my basement and never looked at them again. Remember: only get things you absolutely love there, because once you get home, it'll be 10x less cool.
I wear the AP Calc shirt I got at nats once a week.

Last year I had to hijack the B team from Maine's table to swap my stuff, hopefully if we get a chance to go this year, we'll get our own table.

It is, unfortunately us event supervisors don't get to partake in the fun because we are tied up in the coaches' meeting at the same time.

We always like to swap team shirts with other states. Those are fun to wear when you get back home.

I have to say, this is a great way to flex some bargaining muscle. When I went to nationals, our coach sent us in with two pins, a plastic funnel, and a pencil. What I came out with: a decorative plate painted with scenes of North Dakota, a glow in the dark ball made of entwined tubes, three license plates, a sand dollar, and a great Alaskan keychain. The dark park they held it in was NOT an ideal location though, because it had thoroughly inadequate lighting for thousands of middle and high schoolers to roam around in shoulder to shoulder crowds.

...That's just you. No one else is actually willing to take their shirt off at a swap meet.

And yeah, this is an excellent way to get deals. Not that I ever do; last year I walked out with a pair of Aviators, a shark hat, and a snowman hat. But it's still a ton of fun.
