I'm pretty sure the whole test was virtually the same, because I talked to our B-Div team after the test, and we were complaining about the same things, like those silouhettes..

Do any of you happen to know the ID of the dark gray bird with a little spot of brownish color, and the tail was forked? I forget what station, but I couldn't get that one..

Yeah, no, that was a Chat. I sounds like a mimid because it has a wide collection of sounds, but you can tell it apart because all (or most) of the calls are monosyllabic.

Anyone from PA states – did you get the one about the person who studied bird behavior?

Edit:
I got my test back, so here were the bird calls (I got them all right):

1. American Bittern
2. Red-winged Blackbird
3. Canyon Wren
4. Red-tailed Hawk
5. Yellow-breasted Chat

Edit: Just looked up the bird behavior one, the answer was imprinting.
YOU GET YOUR TESTS BACK???!??? you guys are lucky! we don't ever see our tests, so we never know what we got wrong or whatnot...

No, the only reason I got my test back was because the proctor and writer was from the high school in my school district.

yes, they would and we showed up at our ornithology event yesterday and they told us we could have two bird guides, two two sided sheets of notes, and two bird lists and we were confused and mad at the same time. are event supervisors allowed to change parameters like that?

Those silhouettes were a little uncalled for i mean seriously??? why can't you just put a picture of a bird????? me and my partner who is also my best friend look at each other and we were like umm does that even make sense??

Um... what? Have you even read the rules?

The silhouettes were fine. I thought that was a pretty easy station. It's a simple matter to tell the silhouettes of a trogon, a kingfisher, and a wren apart (can't remember what the other 2 were).

Overall, I thought it was a fairly well-written test. I didn't like how it was so crowded and how the birds were on their backs, but the questions were fine and most were pretty easy. Tweety, just because you didn't study something doesn't mean that it's a bad question.
