Last year the people from my team that did simple machines told me that for one of the questions they didn't know the answer so they put Nickelodeon. I don't know what the question was though. They got first place though so there must have been confusion for all teams.

On like all my Astronomy tests they use Cartoon characters in the questions like Rocky and Bullwinkle, and Scooby Doo.

Hehe my friends did disease detectives and they had no idea what they were doing, and the judge caught them doing "Eeny meeny miny mo". They said he couldnt stop laughing.
Then there's the unforgettable food science question at NY states: 'What is the NY state muffin?" (it's apple by the way...who ever heard of an apple muffin?"

i flipped a coin at one competition to determine the answers, and the judge saw us and gave us a wierd look, we ended up getting 2nd

that reminds me of a joke from the joke thread:

Okay, I'm proctoring an Amphibians test at Ohio States about six years ago. One kid is obviously there just for the participation points; he's rolling a die and using it to pick the right answer for the multiple choice questions, and flipping a coin to determine the true/false ones. I decide that he's not bothering anyone, and let him do his thing.

45 minutes later, I give the Five Minute Warning. He looks up at the clock, then grabs the coin and die again and start flipping/rolling them like mad, and changing an answer here and there. Now, I'm curious, and want to know what he's doing. I go over to his station and ask him about it.

"You know, I didn't say anything when you started guessing, but what the heck are you doing NOW?" as he kept flipping/rolling like mad.

"Checking my answers!"

ok, when i was in sixth grade, we did amphibeans and reptiles (as a trial event) at the invitational in solon, ohio. our coach told us it was just a trial, so we didnt have to study that hard. we went in and had no clue what we were doing. i remeber there was this one question that was like "what does this snake do to attract its prey?" me and my partner had no clue, so we wrote "it twists to disco music". the judge thought it ws funny, so she didnt mark it wrong!

I can't think of any right now but I always haver partners that I just get along with REALLY well and we bicker and argue but it's all in love!

Not really an answer, but my friend walked by the Chem Lab event at regoionals, and she overheard a couple of girls talking. They were like 'I don't know anything about Chemistry. I only know that S is for Sodium'
