Yes, you will definitely have to know about that. Also, I'm assuming it's referring to the regulation of blood pH and breathing?
Good question. I've mostly gotten anatomy textbooks and such from the school, but if you head over to eBay I'm sure there are a ton of books. SparkCharts are also good for muscle ID (except not for next year, I guess), but there are also videos online and such. Do a little digging on eBay and Amazon and you're bound to find something. As for next year (2011-2012) I am pretty sure one of the systems will be respiratory. I know this was answered before (but I'm too lazy to shift through past posts) so what would be a recommended book to read over the summer to study? Something less than $50.
The larynx can be classified as either upper or lower, depending on the source; I'd go with upper, though. It seems to be more common.Does the upper respiratory tract consists of just the nasal cavity and pharynx, or the nasal cavity, pharynx, and larynx? I know the lower one consists of the trachea, bronchi, lung, alveoli, etc. I've never seen this on a test, but I'd like to be sure anyway.
I got that at state (on a test written by a pediatric cardiology surgeon), but I didn't see it at nationals last year. Might be useful, though.Have any of you gotten cross sections of any part of the body for muscles? How important would it be for Nationals?
