What type of summer school? Here summer school is because you are missing a class. (or failed)
We rarely have more then 30 kids, ever.
Tryouts??? Maybe one day.
Not sure if our 9th graders will return or not....
Why would you do tryouts in May? Don't some people move and 6th graders come into the school? What about the 9th graders, can't they pick where they are going to compete? Some of our 9th graders don't choose until after CyFalls invite.
Are you on B next year or C?

For us, they offer courses over summer that you can take so that you don't have to take it during the school year. This way, you have an open spot to do another class, rather than the one that you took over summer. But then, there's also summer school for the kids that fail, but that's a totally different thing for us.

They do tryouts in May so that they don't have to worry about having them once school starts. This way, they can start preparing for invites right off the bat. Plus, the team hasn't had 6th graders for a while, so they haven't really had to worry about that. As for the 9th graders, whoever wanted to try out for the junior high team did, and whoever doesn't make the junior high team will probably try out for the high school team once school starts.

Sorry I've done all the replying for you purplepeopleeater (: She'll be in B next year.

On a side note, there's only two invitationals scheduled right now for C next year. Hopefully there'll be more, since B currently has 5. Plus, Greenhill and Cy-Falls are super close together.

Lol its all good srsvball. :D
Uh i HOPE i didn't fail a class ;) and May, ... well that is one reason the other is that we have SO many kids that try out (even with out 6th graders) so the faster tryouts are over with, the more time they have to grade... and as far as sixth graders go, we have too many amazing kids to even worry about them, but we POSSIBLY will have a sixth grade team, depending on how the principal shuffle going on works out.
and ninth graders, some years we have exactly five, others TONS of ninth graders try out, and sometimes NONE come back. so in a SENSE you get to choose, but there is a bigger picture.
as for what division... MAYBE b, it will remain a mystery. ;)
and TWO invites... 7L may be able to go out of state (if we can convince the whole tons of people but besides that...) !! ;)
No matter what the experiment's result, there will always be someone eager to:(a) misinterpret it(b) fake it, or (c) believe it supports his own pet theory.
