I just use a 12v air compressor with a built in gauge, pump to 60 psi and then shut it off.

It's not the world's most accurate gauge but a little variation isn't going to have an adverse effect on test flights.

sorry i have one more question

I plan on having the egg and the parachute detach from its capsule as well as from the rocket, is this permissible?

If you want to launch in sub-freezing weather, add a little bit of automotive windshield washer fluid to your water. You only need to add enough to give the water a little bit of the blue color. It will not freeze up on you nor on your launcher. I have helped run tournaments where the outside temperature was in the teens with high winds and we had no freeze-ups whatsoever. Using warm water (only) will only work until you have launched a rocket. Then the launcher will start to freeze up. If things start to freeze up, add a little more washer fluid. Good luck!

Has anyone reached above 30 seconds, with or without the bonus?
